J-Obsession 2016:The captured moments
A three-day tribute to the quirkiest, kookiest and most creative of Japanese culture, The Cathay’s J-Obsession 2016 was a spectacular visual and auditory treat for the eyes and ears!
Taking place from 29 April – 1 May 2016, the event was a culmination of the best of manga, anime and J-pop in central Singapore. Activities ranged from cosplay parades and competitions to performances and guest appearances by some of Japan’s most popular artistes and cosplayers like Asahi Martha and Anzu Manaka, and music extraordinaire Osamuraisan.
Several locally based J-Rock bands performed throughout the 3 Day Event:

There were also J-Pop Performances by Dempster,Reina Kathy,Rika. Dance Performance by Natsuiroparty. Dance Performances from the Popular idol anime Love Live by A*Live. AKB Medley Performance by Serene Teo[Yami], Kirisaki and Natsumi.
Asahi Martha and Anzu Manaka from Japan were back in Singapore as overseas Guest. While
The local Guest were Kirisaki and Rainer. This Year Cosplay Competition also saw the contestants
Competing for the Grand prize of $600 in cash.
