Minnacon 2013- 22 June 2013, 2PM-7PM,UTown Town plaza-NUS

Co-organised by the NUS Comics And Animation Society and the NTU Visual Arts Society along with the support of the Singapore Cosplay Club, MinnaCon 2013 is happenning for the very first time this year, and it just slightly more then a week away from now. Do note that this is a ticketed event and tickets are on sale at the venue itself priced at $8 on the actual day

Stage Events:

• 1.00pm - 1.15pm: Opening Ceremony

• 1.15pm - 2.30pm: School Uniform Cosplay Competition

• 3.00pm - 4.30pm: Anime Jukebox

• 5.00pm - 5.30pm: Hisoutensoku Semis + Finals

• 5.30pm - 6.00pm: MB:AA CC Semis + Finals

• 6.15pm - 7.00pm: Prize Presentation + Closing Ceremony

A school uniform cosplay competition(All participants will be required to purchase an event ticket to participate.):
For all you cosplayers itching for some competitive cosplay, MinnaCon has the perfect remedy for you. MinnaCon 2013 will be holding a School Uniform Cosplay Competition, open to all cosplayers with a grand prize of $100 cash up for grabs. Details about the competition are as follow:- 

Rules:-

• Contestants must be wearing a school uniform
• Entries can come from any genre, Oriental/Western
• Contestants are given two minutes on stage where they are given the freedom perform any skit/dance/etc they wish. The soundtrack for each contestant's stage performance is to be provided by the contestants themselves
• Crossdressing characters are allowed in the competition

Judging Criteria:-

• Kawaii/Kakkoi (Cuteness/Coolness) Factor: 40%
• Costume: 40%
• Stage Performance: 20%

Anime Jukebox(Cosfest XII Anime Karaoke competition Prelimery Round):

MinnaCon to compete to be the top 20 singers,these 20 singners will then:-

• At Cosfest Asia,They will be split into 2 teams.

• One team is called the Heart of Cosfest.

• The other team is called the Soul of Cosfest!

• The two teams shall then engage in a song battle.

• Will the Heart win or will the Soul triumph?

MinnaCon brings you another exciting tournament for the ever popular Touhou fighting game - Hisoutensoku! This would likely be the last Hisou tournament to be held before we all move on to 13.5, so lets end it off with a bang!

MinnaCon brings you another exciting tournament for the constantly evolving but never quite changing Typemoon fighting game - Melty Blood: Actress Again - Current Code (MBAA:CC. I swear the name gets long every time a new version is released) This is the second time an official tournament for the Melty Blood franchise to be held here in Singapore, so lets do it with a bang!

How to get there?:

By MRT:- 

Take the Circle Line Train to Kent Ridge MRT (CC24) and exit towards NUS/NUH. Board the A1 or 95 bus and alight after two stop then board the D2 bus. Take the D2 bus until you cross a bridge going over the AYE and then alight at the next stop which will be UTown.

By Bus:- 

• 151: Take the bus from Clementi and alight once you have entered NUS (you will pass the University Cultural Centre (UCC) on your left once you enter NUS). Take the D1 or D2 bus and alight at the next stop which will be UTown. 

• 96: Take the bus from Clementi and alight after you enter NUS and pass Raffles Hall on your left and Yusoff Ishak House on your right. Cross the road and take the D1 or D2 bus. Alight at the next stop which will be UTown. 

• 97, 197, 198, 963: Take the bus heading towards Jurong and alight along the AYE opposite ITE Dover/SUTD. Walk into NUS across the football fields/running track and cross the road. Take the D2 bus until you cross a bridge going over the AYE and then alight at the next stop which will be UTown.
